The shorter layer is a flat herringbone chain that lies at the neck like a solid sheet, while a narrow, round chain runs below it. Both layers are attached to a single clasp with an extender, so you can adjust the spacing between them without tangling. Wear it with a turtleneck or a simple black top when you don't want a pendant.
